"Mandala", meaning an altar or sacred space, is the celestial palace of various deities in the Buddhist cosmos.

Originating from ancient Indian sacrificial altars, the mandala was later integrated into Buddhism, initially serving as a sacred site for practitioners of esoteric rituals. It symbolizes a microcosm of the universe, regarded as a higher-dimensional pure land or paradise, where all enlightened beings and virtues converge.

Visually, a mandala can be understood as an aerial view of a temple structure, often characterized by its "circular outer form and square inner layout", corresponding to the ancient concept of "round heaven and square earth." The circular shape also represents perfection and completeness.

Symbolism and Meaning
- Perfection and Harmony:
A red-background mandala symbolizes wisdom and truth, bringing vitality and energy to the home.
A yellow-background mandala represents fulfillment and potential, adding serenity and harmony to a space.
A blue-background mandala signifies auspiciousness and tranquility, bestowing freedom and happiness.

- Protection and Blessing:
The mandala is not only a religious emblem but also a visual representation of the cosmic order. Through its intricate patterns and profound symbolism, it transforms the cycles of life and death into a visible form, allowing deeper insight into the essence of existence. It embodies stability, guardianship, and shelter, symbolizing prosperity, good fortune, abundance, and fulfillment.

- Warding Off Evil Spirits:
Buddhist scriptures record that the original purpose of the mandala was to disperse evil forces, serving as a protective and purifying element in its environment.
